Hello All, Looking to purchase 3.0 A4
Hello Everyone, I'm new here and looking for a little bit of info.
I'm looking to buy a B6 A4 3.0. So far I have been unable to find anything to point out the specific differences from 2002-2005. I'd like to know whats changed between the years. I've decided to purchase a 3.0 quattro (manual of course) mostly because of reliability, as i hear that the 3.0 is more reliable than a 1.8t, I also plan to do little to the motor. Maybe a S/C at some point, which i understand will keep the car pretty reliable.
I'd also like to put on the Stock B6 S4 bodykit on. I've been unable to find out where to purchase this, and for how much.
Lastly, suspension wise are the 3.0 and 1.8t identical? I'd like to put on some coilovers and all the other nuts and bolts to make the car corner like a demon.
I'm gearing up to build my Audi in August once I move and sell my Volvo.
Thanks,
Danny

RE: Hello All, Looking to purchase 3.0 A4
Body can be found at the dealer or other places check the audi links in the a4 section..... suspension is not the same for 1.8 3.0 the 3.0 is heavier so they have different springs.... inin theory the 3.0 is more reliable but if you take care of a 1.8 it will serve you will and a SC on the 3.0 will be sick man good luck finding a car

Thanks for the info, I hadn't realized that the 3.0 suspension was different. I'll make sure to do some research on that. I do know the 1.8t's can be reliable, but Im getting a used car with probably about 40k-50k miles. I just feel like if by chance i keep the car beyond 100K the 3.0 would probably be better.
Thanks again
