How do I upload my own Avatar?

Hi, Im new here and I was wondering how do I upload my avatar? All I see is where I can choose from a list of odd ones. Help is very much appreciated!

I think the option to upload ur own avatar comes after a certain # of posts...

Welcome to the forums. You need to go into your "my profile". Down toward the bottom is a link "Upload my picture (will replace the existing one)".
