over in the states we dont have that engine...it is a turbo diesel right? i've heard they get good gas milage way better than a regular gas one...top speed i have no idea</P>

I don't know about the '97, but the 2002 2.5tdi gets a tested 31 mpg avg. the factory probably claims higher.

 

Top speed, Im pretty sure is 220 km/h. I could be mistaken, seeing as the website i looked at was is spanish, and I have never taken a class of spanish in my life.
