Ive just acquired my second Audi, a Q5, 3.2. Last time I owned this marque was perhaps a dozen years ago, an Audi 100 in bottle green that I bought at auction in Edinburgh. The Q5 is my third SUV. Others were a 1992 Mercedes diesel G wagon (wish I'd shipped it to BC where I now live) and a 2001 Mercedes ML 320 bought used from a dealer in Vancouver. Other 4wd drive vehicles I've owned include a 1972 series 3 Land Rover that I bought from a double decker bus mechanic who rebuilt them from the ground up as a hobby. And when I worked in the Middle East in the seventies my ride was a 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser.

I liked the build of the 100 although as a driving experience it was pretty bland. Can't say that about the Q5. Time will tell if it replaces the G wagon as my all time favourite vehicle. It's certainly one of the prettiest.
