New Guy from Texas
Hello all,
I just picked up a 2004 A4 1.8t last night. This is my first Audi, so I have a lot to learn.
A little about the car. As I said its an 04 A4 1.8T with 111k mile. It has an aftermarket exhaust (haven't had time to identify it yet) and a front mount intercooler. It is a beautiful car and I am really excited. I think I have a little work ahead of me to get it to wear I want. I am thinking that I have an exhaust leak because when the climate control is set to fresh air, I get a pretty heavy exhaust smell. I also have a CEL on which appears to be related to the secondary air pump. So, I plan to change the oil, the plugs, and fuel filter this weekend to get me started. From there I need to figure out the source of the smell (i am thinking exhaust leak). And then check into the secondary air pump issue. Any advice that you guys can offer is very welcomed!
I am an active member on several Jeep forums (I also have a 2010 Wrangler) and several other forums in the past. I have managed several parts stores in the past and worked on a lot of cars, but like I said I am new to Audi's so I am here to learn!
