Hi guys,

I just picked up my new shiny toy from the dealer monday evening: 2008 Audi A4 quattro MT6 2L. For a Henderson/Nevada inhabitant, a manual transmission is pretty unusual but the thing is, having european roots, I cannot stand automatics.

Other than that, I'm still wondering and discovering new and new features; I simply cannot get enough of my ride. I'm impressed with its handling, pick up, interior style and exterior outlook. Less than impressed with the gas mileage (but I was kinda expecting this, especially coming from Toyota Corolla world).

I just wanted to ask some questions about reliability of the car. While I was always kind of dreamed to buy an Audi, after I saw my dream coming alive I started to cool off and look around internet about A4 recalls, reliability, possible issues etc. I stumbled onto some threads coming from pissed off owners but I cannot take them as a serious opinion. That's why I'd like here some well-reasoned thought out words from long time owners about Audi A4 ownership and joys and troubles that come with it.

I don't hate my Audi but I mean mine is also 12 years old so it' gonna have it's quirks.


welcome by the way and I'm glad you don't like automatics just like a lot of us on here. I will drive them, but I'd prefer not to own one unless it is in a tow rig.

I'll post pics when I'll have something to brag about. Right now it's white stock 2008 Audi A4 quattro - I bet you already saw several up to this point in your life.

The next will be the tires+rims - soonto come.
