New here - first post
Hi there, I just purchased a 2009 Audi A3 Quattro S-Line 2.0t with 90k miles. I am extremely happy with it, so I thought I would register here and check out the forums. I tend to lurk for awhile when I first join a forum, so don't mind me if I'm not super active at first. I'll start posting as I get a feel for the community.
Anyway, my car came with a couple of quirks, including a potential crack in or disconnected hose from the windshield washer fluid reservoir. It also did not come with any floormats, but my first move was to invest in a full set of Weather Tech full floor liners for the front seats, back seats, and cargo space. Pricey, yes, but the entire car is in beautiful condition and I'd like to keep it that way. That said, anything I should watch out for as I approach 100,000 miles? The brakes are fresh and the timing chain, tensioner, etc. were done at the dealer before I got it. I'm planning on replacing belts and hoses pretty soon just as preventative measure. Any advice and input is much appreciated. See y'all around!

This is just a guess, but here goes:
If your car was sitting covered in snow for awhile, it is very possible that some snow and/or ice got packed into the wheels and has frozen the brakes or is otherwise interfering with the brakes. The car won't shift out of park if your brakes aren't engaged, so that might explain it if there is ice between the pad and rotor preventing them from engaging.
One other thing: did you check your brake fluid? Considering the age of your car, it's possible a hose or the reservoir itself is compromised. If you're low on fluid, look for a leak. Otherwise, try to clear out the snow from your wheels and brakes as best you can. Let me know how it goes!
