Default Old guy in France

Hi all, I'm a Brit, but have lived overseas since 1963, now sort of settled in southern France.
Basically an electrical person, I have done a lot of HVAC work, including running my own business servicing the needs of super yacht owners.
I bought a 1996 A4 Avant automatic last year because using the clutch with manual boxes wears out my legs in traffic these days.
My newest car before this was a 1994 Alfa. I have managed to handle its electronics fairly easily, but the Audi is an altogether different animal.
I had not realised that automotive electronics had reached such a level even in 1996, but will try to continue the learning process until I'm reduced to a gibbering wreck by the organic growth of unneccessarily complicated carp.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your purchase! Hopefully you'll enjoy your new Audi as most of us here do. Make sure to show us some pictures, when you have a chance.
