newbie - 2000 A6 2.7T Auto/Tip ???
Good day all,
I recently picked up used 2000 A6 2.7T Auto with Tip. It has high milage. 170+ kms (around 110k miles) The car drove great for the first two weeks I had it and just yesterday the idicator check light came on and I immediately noticed that when slowing down that the car shifts harder when going into 2nd (I think) gear almost a slight jolt or slight bang into gear. It only does this when slowing down not accelerating. It even does when using the tiptronic.
My question is this two different situations with the indicator light or is this a result of the condition the light comes on. I am going to take the car in on Monday to have them look at it.... Hopefully this isn't too costly as the car is only two weeks old in my hands. I put about 2000 kms on the car already.
I read in a past forum topic of a condition similiar. The response to that was that some people believe that it could be the motor mount or the trans mount.
Is is possible for a used car dealer to cover something like this up temporarily.
Hopefuly soem one can give some advice to a new audi owner who absolutely loves the car - performance, interior, exterior look and comments from people.....[]

You could go to AutoZone or someplace similar and have them check the computer to see what code # is causing the indicator light to come on. Then post it. Some of these guys can look up the number for you to see what the problem is.
