Reluctant on buying a B6
Hello fellow Audi fans. my name is junior and im obviously new to the forums.
i've recently been looking at purchasing a used audi a4 1.8t Q. since i live in chicago area the AWD is def. a plus to getting around during winter. But as of lately ive been doing alot of research and finding that the B6's have either alot of problems or are expensive to maintain. every car has its costs, some more then others. what im debating now is to skip the B6 and just spend the extra $$ and go for a B7. Either way i still want to go Audi!
I've had alot of cars over the years, ranging from a Integra GSR to a Chrysler 300 to a chrysler crossfire which i recently sold in june. And i feel I found what i want in a car with Audi, but in the long run will it be a bad decision?
Thank you for any and all help.

welcome to the forums
maintenance maintenance maintenance
the key to a good, reliable car, especially an Audi, is proper maintenance. If you are searching used, make sure all the maintenance is up to date (with receipts). Yes, the cost to maintain an Audi is a bit higher than you will find with some other cars. parts tend to be pricey as well. that is why a lot of us are DIYers and bargain hunters.
spend some time reading in the A4 sections and you will get an idea of what kinds of things to look for/failure points/maintenance concerns with the cars you have in mind. keep in mind that a lot of people come to the forums to ask about the "problems" they are having with their car. People without "problems" are too busy out driving...
being an Audi forum, we are all enthusiasts so it will be hard to get a good unbiased opinion.
good luck on your car search. keep us in the loop
