Hi, am looking into purchasing a 1.8T TT in the sub $15000 range and had a few questions. I am currently driving a modified Subaru WRX. I love the car, but it is time for something a little more upscale and a little less boy-racerish. Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

1) What year TT should I try to get, or avoid?

2) How hard are these cars to work on for an an average do-it-yourselfer?

3) Are there any particular defects I should look for that are prominent with these cars?

4) How hard would it be to put a TT into the 13 second quarter mile range?
