Whats up Audi enthusiasts!
Hey guys and gals, my name is Jeff and I am first and foremost an auto enthusiast. Ican appreciate just about every make and modelthat goes like stink. Basically I like fast cars and talking to cool/interesting people who drive them and I like to learn about everything I can.
My knowledge falls mostly with GM F-body and Corvette platforms and LSX powerplantsso if anybody has questions about those cars I will be happy to try and answer them.
For the past 2 years or soI've gained interest in Audi because my Fiance' turned me onto them. Since then I've discovered the uber-sedan RS4 and the like but what really captured my heart and soul is the R8. I have always said that Audi simply must release a TDI powered version of this phenominal automobile. Especially given the domination of their LeMans R10TDI, it's a no brainer. I am thrilled that they are planning to do just that.
It seems to me that Audi is a more sporting and enthusiast driven German luxury brand than Merc and BMW. I could be wrong in that but it just seems that if there was a track day going on the Audi guys would be outon the tracksetting their tires on fire while the Merc and BMW guys were swilling wine.
Anyway, my Fiance' is very close to finishing grad school and is looking to buy anA4 Quattroso I thought I'd come on here, poke around and ask some questions. I want to learn some differences between the current and previous A4 generation before we throw down the $$$. My next stop is the A4 subforum, see you there!
