Anyone having a problem with wheel bearings? I have a 2003 A4. Put tires on the car right after I bought it 4 months ago. Just started hearing this really loud noise and was told it is a wheel bearing. Have an appt. at the dealer next week but not sure if I should continue to drive the car.

welcome to the site, you can drive the car depending on how loud the noise is ( bearing noise starts from a low hum to beyond hearing tolerance the higher the speed the louder it gets ) but get it checked out ASAP because when it goes it can damage the anti lock break sensor ( ABS ) which is expensive,

always give as much details on your car as possible ie:- 2003 A4 2.8 / 1.8T and so on then put your problem to the A4 or tech area

 

ps- your not the only person to make this mistake even long term members do it like "I have an A4 2000", they make many engine sizes for the A4
