RE: 1999 A4 2.8 turbo kit?
11:1 is already on the treshold of detonation. Combustion temperature reaches 1075F easily on compresion strock. Any higher it will start to spontaniously combust. So the big V8 benifit of the advanced ignition so on V8 its diferent that on V6 or I4.
What can be done is Miller Cycle. But it requires a lot of work.

What kind of kit are u talking about here? Im pretty interested. Im sure there is no company that makes pistons and rods, but like Kakarot said, you dont really need them to create a good amount of power... at least it will be more than the PES SC.

You can order coustum build, but thats preaty expensive compared to like buying build one.
Most of the time, guys like us just want extra power, and simple cheap add on is enough. like chiped 1.8.
170HP is enough, 250HP is what I really want. my car is slugish. so extra 80hp is what I want.
by my estimate, I can push 2,8 up to 320-330HP without upgrading internals.
From what I can see I wont be able to use Twin screw SC as I wanted, so back to eaton again.

its a remote mount turbo...ive heard nothing but good things but still have yet to hear of anyone use it on their audi....my suggestions is give them a call
swapping engines is way to much money ( supercharging is prob your best bet)
