Default 2007 Audi A4 3.2 quattro

Well, I was wondering if it was possible to buy the 3.2 and add a turbo kit, having a custom 3.2T as opposed to the stock 2.0T. Money is out of the question here. I just want to know if it's possible before I choose. I currently have a 1999 Audi A4 (b5) 1.8T, however, this was my first car and it has a tiptronic tranny. . So, any big turbo upgrades on this isn't realistic. Any feedback is appreciated.

it would be possible but space is limited. You would have to determine if a twin turbo setup or a large single turbo will be a better fit. But power would be insane on just 10psi and with 3.2L you can spool very large turbo(s).

Hmm, thanks for the feedback. So, is there anyway to increase the psi? Probably a noob question. . I'm fairly new to turbos.

psi is set by the wastegate, it usually set to 5-7psi internally or for and external you can change springs to a set psi. After that you canadjust it with a boost controller to a desired level and also to aid in quicker spool.

what is the compression ratio on the 3.2l you should check that first and make sure that you can safely turbo it on stock internals. otherwise you will need to rebuild the bottom end

vr6 guys run 1bar on stock bottem ends. Plus you can decrease compression with just a thicker head gasket if need be.

i dont think the 3.2l have that high of compression though so it should be fine. And changing your headgasket is not the proper way to adjust compression. though it will work. (for a while)

its not a wear and tear item. If you get one that is as good as the stock one you wont ever have to worry about replacing/blowing it and its by far cheaper than new pistions.
