98 1.8t w/k04 turbo ?? about godspeed fmic

What's up guys.. I'm brand new to the forum and audi's in general.. I was in the Honda scene for many years and did my fair share of builds and swaps and I've owend only hondas.. but I've been looking to buy a new car the past few weeks and was planning on buying a Honda but yesterday I looked a 98 a4 1.8t quattro with some mods, drove it and fell in love..!! So I put a deposit on it and I'm picking it up in 9 more days when my tax return gets deposited..! Can't wait.. like I said its a 98 1.8t with a k04 from awetuning which comes with the giac chip, borla exhaust, center vent boost gauge, h@r full coilovers, can't remember the name of the intake setup but its a cone filter setup, 17" celebration wheels and a few other things.. I'm going to order the forge hybrid splitter and silicone intake pipe the day I pick it up but I also wanted to do the godspeed fmic right away but my question is with the car running on the stock injectors and only the more mild of the ecu maps, would a fmic not be a wise choice over the stock intercooler with out first upgrading the injectors and tune..? This is also my first turbo car.. all my hondas have been all motor builds with my last Honda being a 91 Crx si with a fully built high comp b16.. have to say I do regret selling it tho.. any way.. I appreciate any tips and info you guys have..

I just did a big turbo upgrade on my 01 A4 a few months ago. I did it myself, but I had a whole bunch of technical assistance by Eurocode Tuning. You can always ask these guys for anything about Audi's or VW's.

But when I did my swap, they told me a FMIC is a great investment. You don't get heat soak as bad. You may not NEED it for your turbo set-up as it is, but you'd definitely want to get one before you decided to get bigger injectors and an ECU tune.
