Default Need help with turbo

Hi guys just wondering if someone could help me out a bit. I know I can search for this answer but I want something more personalised if that makes any sense 🤔 well I got my cel light checked and I got a code for the turbo it said underboost and something about the waste gate. When I press the Gass I don't hear the turbo (people say you shouldn't really hear a stock turbo but what do I know) all I hear is like an air kind of sound not sure if it's the intake. Anyway, does anyone have any idea where I should start with this?

How loud is the air sound? Is it a sort of whooshing sound like releasing air from an air hose?

Underboost code means that simply put, your ecm is requesting x lbs of boost and the turbo at some point in the power band, isn't delivering. This is often caused by a failed n75 boost control valve, a failed diverter valve, an intake leaks between Turbo and Throttle Body or the waste gate actuator arm (little silver rod on the inside of the turbo near the engine side) is loose allowing the waste gate to swing open more than it should.

if you're hearing a free flowing "whooshing" of air, that would probably eliminate the n75 and the waste gate. I'd say Upgrade that diverter valve to the Forge 007 or the beefy one from ecs tuning, even if that's not the problem, one less head ache in the future.
