Eurocode ATP GT71R kit
 

Does anybody with a eurocode BT kit for the B6 1.8T have any idea which turbo it is they used?
I can get ATP parts over here in the UK, but seems they called it GT71R, while it should be something along the lines of GT3071R or GT2871R.
Not sure which of those 2 might be used.

Does anybody got an idea?

That would be the ATP ELiminator kit, in a GT28RS or GT2871r size. Some people call the Elim kits GTRS and GT71 but both of them are 2860 turbos with a GT28r compressor housing.

I frequent euro ode and I'm not sure if they'd do a biturbo kit without you calling them and they'd have to make one for you. I know they are a big fan of the 2871r. I got mine from there and they are EXCELLENT!! They'd probably use the 28. It's all kinds of power!

Ironically I just went through extensive emails on this kit. I have pasted the conversation in the next reply as it is long. Note that I just spoke to my audi shop here in Denver, and they stated that they have no idea how you can go over 24psi with stock internals. To go past 24psi your motor needs a rebuild (new forged connecting rods) for make more then 24psi.

All, please let me know if any of you have installed one of these ATP GT71R kits and what real numbers you are making.

ATP GT71R kit with EuroCode/REVO Software THE COMPLETE SOLUTION

ATP calls is a 71R eliminator. It is not a GT (GT is a housing). This turbo
has the CHRA of a GT28-71R and is put into a proprietary exhaust housing
that is designed to bolt up to the factory exhaust manifold or high flow
factory exhaust manifold. The turbine wheel on the CHRA is smaller than the
GT28-71R so that it will spool more quickly.

I think what you have be hearing about the eliminator kits is not accurate, I have the 71R on my own car and it will reach 15psi at 3300 RPMS and full boost of 30PSI at 3750RPMs. With a turbo car, you will need to learn to drive the power band, anytime you increase the size of the turbo, the power band gets pushed to the right, it is simple physics.

The two SKUs represent two different turbos, the first is the GTRS (GT28RS
equivalent) Eliminator, the second is the GT71R (GT28-71R equivalent)
Eliminator.

The REVO programming can be adjusted with an external switch called "SPS"
which is an acronym for "serial port switch". The programming has nine
boost settings (15psi to 22psi) that you can adjust with the switch and nine
timing settings (91 octane through 105 octane gas). On standard pump gas (91 or 93) the "Complete Solution" will make about 280WHP (375BHP) and is
complete safe on stock internals. If you add race gas into the mix you will
see about 320WHP (425BHP) and this is also safe on stock internals.

What is not safe on stock internals is to run to aggressive of timing
creating any sort of detonation or pre-ignition.

I have run this setup on my car since Feb 2006 and have clocked over 250K
miles on it. The car is beat to shit and abused and has had zero issues
with the engine and turbo kit.

Here is a dyno of the power the car makes on race gas and 30PSI, it makes a
goofy dip at 375 TQ because the clutch slipped on the dyno. This setup is
capable of a 12.3 in the QM at 115MPH

The specific kit you are asking about has a ATP 71R Eliminator Turbo. This
turbo has the same compressor wheel as a GT28-71R however it is in a
different frame (the ATP eliminator).

The REVO programming we offer with the "complete solution" is adjustable for
both boost and timing. There are nine timing settings and nine boost
settings which will allow you to dial in the power and torque to your desire
based upon the fuel you are running.

This kit does not come with an intake manifold, however there is an ungraded
cast iron exhaust manifold the flows a considerable more than stock. I
personally have made 365AWHP/375AWTQ with this setup on my own car.

I have the Eurocode BAFT Fueling and software kit to supplement my 71R
Eliminator setup (complete solution), this kit allows me to run 30PSI. The
standard "complete solution" is 22.5PSI (320WHP)

The stock pump will be able to handle the needs of the 71R Eliminator through 24PSI. After that a fuel pump upgrade is required. We recommend replacing the fuel filter at the time of installation of the turbo kit.

The software will adjust perfectly fine to the altitude. There is slightly
less oxygen in the air, however the ECU reads the levels and adjusts
accordingly.

I have the 71R kit from Eurocode and I'm making 22.5psi. It's a pretty awesome kit. I'm killin' evos and Mustang GTs and all that nonsense. I'd highly recommend it.

What model A4 are you running the kit on? Did you install yourself, or have a shop do it? Is there a boost option above 22.5 psi? Did you get a dyno? Are you sea level or higher?

I have a 2001 A4. They recommend the AWM motor due to the REVO software they run. I actually did install it myself and it was pretty much the first time I ever looked under my hood. The kit they give you pretty much has everything you would need (except turbo inlet pipe) and it is all a simple remove the old, replace with the new. But bottom line, if I can do it with absolutely zero experience, anyone can do it. The version of the REVO software in running maxed out at 22.5psi. However, the next software up can put you over 30psi I believe. It also increases your rev limiter to 8500. They don't recommend it if you have stock internals though. If you asked for the software, they'd still probably do it for you. I've seen their cars with this software. It's gold. But I am at sea level right on the west coast.

I hope some of this was helpful. If you want to swap out parts in that kit for a bigger turbo or smaller injectors or something.

Did you drain all your fluids before the install? Did you run the test pipe, or high-flow cat?
