K03 vs K04 reliability and Smog Check in California
 

I have searched about turbos and cant find any notes about what I am looking into. I am goung to replace my turbo. I have an APR chip stage 1 and I am not changing anything else in my engine. What I want to know is which turbo will give me better reliability, the K03 or K04? Also I live in California, I am concerned if I can pass smog here with the K04. Any help would be appreciated.

They will be the same, there isn't much difference between the 2. You should pass with no problem, I know people that have passed smog here in CA with Elim kits on their cars.
