hey.. I have a 2001 a4 1.8t quartto with a blown turbo. I am lookig to get a new one but not looking to take the motor all apart and replacing internals!I want to drive it around town with stock exhaust and have a little extra. So I have been looking around and I found a bunch of "k04" swaps and it seems fairly easy. From what I read its from a TT. But awe-tuning has a kit with the giac. Now see here is where I admit I am new to this site/turbos and "german engineering" but I do know about motors and have built a couple. So ANY suggestions from extreme to acute would be greatly appricated.

 

The ko4 for the A4 IS NOT a 225 TT turbo, its smaller, like no bigger than the one you have blown. Just get a used ko3s turbo, chip the car if its not. Also, going bigger turbo on a 2.25 exhaust isnt a good way to make power

 

I wish I had places around me for engine tuning... It would make something like this a possibility, lol.

Youll have to let us know what kind of numbers you get with the new turbo
