thinking of upgrading to APR Stage 3+

got a bone stock audi a4 1.8t! im planning on upgrading to the APR 3+. i was just wondering about something. do you guys think i need to upgrade to better internals, so the doesnt bend a valve of something? im only going to be having the kit on 93 octane with no other mods then a APR intercooler & exhaust.

You should be fine as-is. The biggest risk is bending or snapping a rod, which happens when you're pushing in excess of 300whp.

Don't know if you pulled the trigger on this or not. Results? I would have suggested beefing up your clutch, the obvious FMIC & Exhaust which you mentioned. If I remember correctly, the 3+ kit includes everything else you would need (ECU Flash, injectors, seals etc.).

I'm researching/saving money for the same at some point so I'd love to know how it turned out for you.

Cheers.

there are more cost effective routes to achieve that power goal, but this kit is something that works "off the shelf". and yes if clutch has not been upgraded yet, that will be a mandatory item. secondly the engine can handle 300-330whp/trq but its the low rpm torque jump that usually causes the rod to bend.
