I currently own a 2001 A4 1.8T. My car is basically stock other than a cat-back. As of today, I found out the turbo went bad and needs to be replaced. I started to look on eBay just to see what's out there and figured looking to the forum would be a better idea. I see there are all kinds of options out there. I don't want to spend crazy amounts of money on this, but if it's something reasonably close to what a shop might quote me to fix/rebuild it, then I might as well upgrade at least a little bit, right? Any suggestions would be great.
