what is a supercharge for any car?

i keep seeing online this web sit that sells ..small superchargers that give you a gain of 30 hp. are those bad or are they ok to put on an audi? have no idea what they will do, as in hurting my engine.

probably just a smaller fan thing blowing....maybe its like an electric turbo pushing 4 PSI

No those are a waste of money. Just a gimmick.

they are about as good as "Octane Booster"

worse. Turbonators are just like weed-beater motors that run off some accessory belt that usually suck away 10 horsepower. Octane boosters are reliable for a couple of points (eg 91-93)
