Ok guys... I saw the post from VWVortex with the DCI Cruise... Then a couple people mentioned "How about a local cruise?" Well that got me thinking... WHY NOT ?[/size]


When: Sunday November 19, 2006
* 9:30-11:00 am brief gathering/meet/greet/gtg at Penn National Grantville
* 11:00 am depart for City Island
* 11:30 am arrive at City Island
* 11:30 am until ??? deliver goodies, hang out, break for home as needed
Where: Penn National Grantville -> City Island Harrisburg
Who: Central PA German car Enthusiasts... and anyone else that might want to join in
Why: Why not? It's for the kids



I've spoken with a local Toys for Tots Representative, and they would be more than happy to have this type of drive. Granted, we most likely would not have the 100+ cars that the Philly one does, but 20 or so locals would still make quite the impression.

I am also going to be speaking with some busisnesses to see about getting donations for a possible raffle. The cruise itself should be about 30 minutes or so, mainly highway driving, with a short stint in Downtown Harrisburg to end it up. It should also end soon enough for anyone that needs to get home to watch the Eagles play the Titans (home game in Philly at 1:05), you should be in good shape to do so.

DIRECTIONS

From New York/ New Jersey & North/North East
Take the George Washington Bridge to I-80 West, take 287 South to I-78 West to I-81 South, Hershey Exit 80. Right at end of ramp – approx ½ mile on your right (turn RIGHT at the SECOND Penn National Sign.

From Philadelphia & East
Take PA Turnpike 76, get off at Exit 266, take 72 North to 322 West to 743 North. Follow 743 North for 7 miles. Penn National entrance is approx ½ mile on your right after you cross over I-81 (turn RIGHT at the SECOND Penn National Sign)

From Baltimore/Washington & South
Take I-83 North to I-81 North. Hershey Exit 80. . Left at end of ramp – approx ½ mile on your right (turn RIGHT at the SECOND Penn National Sign.

From Pittsburgh & West
Take PA Turnpike 76, get off at Exit 226, follow signs to I-81 North, take I-81 North. Left at end of ramp – approx ½ mile on your right (turn RIGHT at the SECOND Penn National Sign.

Penn National is located approx. ½ mile off of I-81.
