Royal Flush Charity Poker Run- November 2008
Date: Sunday November 9th, 2008
Rain Date: Sunday November 16th, 2008
Meeting Time: 9:00 AM
Departure: 10:00 AM
Participation Fee: $30.00 per car
Your Fee Includes: Donation, Car Decals, and Poker Cards
Event T-Shirts: $10.00 each
The Route
The Poker Run will be starting either at the ITC in Mount Olive or the Rockaway Townsquare Mall. Both are located just off Route 80. The final starting location will be posted no less than 2 weeks before the rally.
The end location is shaping up to be in Connecticut. The route will be no longer than 175 miles from the start. We will have the end location posted no later than 2 weeks before the rally.
We will have a general outline of the rally for you before the event so everyone can get a general feel for the route. The check points, however, will not be disclosed until the day of the event. The event will end at a restaurant for lunch. Here we will determine the winners of the Poker Run as well as announce the grand total of donations.

In Memory of Curt Mitchener (11/9/1960-1/17/2008)
Last January our community was suddenly devastated when friend, father, coach, and loving husband, Curt Mitchener, tragically passed away of a heart attack. Curt was a very friendly and generous individual. He always played an active role in the community whether it was coaching little league teams or lending a hand to someone in need. He was a fun filled person who could always bring a smile to your face. Curt will be dearly missed, but never forgotten. His kind heart and personality shines through his loving family.
Our rally aims to give back to Curt and his family in appreciation for what they have given to our community. Your charitable donation will go toward the further education of Curt's three children. Please help us sooth the loss of Curt by participating in something he would have loved.
The Poker Run
There will be five predetermined destination points during the course of the rally. Each point consists of a short break where your team will receive a poker card along with directions to the next rally point. The best five card hand at the end of the event wins. Cash Prizes/Gifts will be given away to the top three hands of the day.
Co-Pilots are highly recommended! Turn by turn details, Mileage, and Toll Amounts for each stop will be listed on your direction sheets.
Additional Details...
Each driver and passenger will be responsible for signing a waiver prior to participating in the rally. Driver waivers can be found on our website. Either email them back or print and bring them to the rally. Passenger waivers will be available at the event. If you do not wish to print out a waiver we will have them available the morning of the event. If we do not have a signed form you will not be able to participate.
Donations can be made in the form of cash or check. You are not required to make the donation until the morning of registration. If you would like to make your donation ahead of time locate the "Donate Now" icon on our site. Please provide all of your information with the donation. Checks can be made out to Lori Mitchener.

We would like to thank all of you who have participated in our previous events this year. Its because of you that we were able to raise over $3500 for charity this summer. Its our goal to share this wonderful experience with you while doing something we all love. Spread the word to your friends and fellow members. The more participants the more successful we can make this event! Additional donations from outside sources and non-participants are more than appreciated.
