I usually do mine with every oil change. I drain it out before lifting the car to do the oil, do the oil, then rotate tires, fill them partially so theres *something* for the car to sit on that isn't wheel once you drop it back down, and then bring them up to spec pressure once back on the floor. The real question that's been boggling my mind is if it's necessary to change the tire slime that I put in all mine to keep extra air from getting in through microscopic holes in the rubber. Does that stuff break down and need to be changed like oil? If so, how can I do that? Or do I have to take it to a tire shop?

Yes sir. The tire shop won't be able to do it as it is made from rubber. Take it to Nordstrom tailor department. They deal with that kinda stuff on daily basis.

How much bleach should I use when I wash the car?

Default 03 audi B6 automatic transaxle

Hello Audi Forums guys
I have an 2003 Audi A4 B6, automatic (01J) transaxle. Problem I'm having is that when it reaches normal operating temp, the reverse won't work, some times it works some don't. It shifts in to every other gear with absolutely no problem. The gears display in the panel (PRND) flashes.
If some one knows something about this problem please advise.

Actually, that's a tricky answer. It depends on what grit sandpaper you're drying it with. Here's the rule:

The lower the grit, the more bleach you need.

Rule of thumb:

Stuck your thumb in the bottle and lick the bleach off, for luck, before you start.

What's the best way to get wine stains out of he back seat leather?

At least the same amount needed to burn the spamber robots outta this tread. I don't remember exactly, but I think the minimum requirement is a 1:1 ratio of bleach:ammonia.

I've noticed my exhaust seems to be a little dry sounding on a cold start, just started doing it about a month ago, but it sounds fine after it winds down to normal idle/while driving. Any thoughts? Bad mufflers maybe?

Dry sounding muffler?!?!? You need to spray some water into teh intake, to get a "wetter" sound. Run your water hose directly into the CAI inlet.

Motor oil is getting very expensive. Is there some cheaper thing I can substitute?

Yes. I use warm water (microwave it for 60 seconds) and mix it with a tea spoon of salt. Make sure the salt is low sodium if your car only takes synthetic oil.

I heard of the 50/50 water and gas mix. Which one goes in first?

You gotta put in half of the water, then half of the gas, then the other half of the gas, then the other half of the water.

All of the idiot lights on my dash are on and my car is running like ****, is that bad?
