Forum Spam is the posting of nonsense on a forum. Most forums have anti-spam rules. Some forums try to prevent spam by using "Spam Allowed" sections, but those are flawed, for spam is only spam when not allowed. Anything called, "Spam" but allowed by rules is, of course, not spam.
SPAM (Stupid Pointless Annoying Message) is used as a mnemonic device to help forum users distinguish SPAM from other posts, and to remind them not to SPAM.
SPASM Stupid Pointless Attention Seeking Moron. One who posts SPAM on a Forum.
It's also known as SPAM when someone keeps posting the same messages over the forums with exact same content, as in flooding the forums with the same post or promoting certain services, products, websites or blog links in their posts!
