5000 2.0TD Swap into 4000?
 

Will 5000 NA or TD diesel engine easily swap into 4000 2 whl. or quattro, mating ok to 4000 stick trans? Have line on 82 5000S TD, 120k mileage, but parked 11 years as turbo probably bad( owner said car smoked and lost power driving 12 years ago) but after this time sitting, expect trans, cooling, brakes and all must be restored so thinking swap engine into something better mechanically, preferably stick,?…thanks, Brian
