ok im posting her so dont go "post on a ford forum" cause i dont feel like making a new account ill never use, any way, i went to a friends house to replace the alternator on a 98 mercury sable with a duratec, replaced the alternator with the battey disconnected (but when the wind blew it made the wire move on to the + terminal and made a spark when i touched a wrench to the bolt holding the wire to the alternator) and we got the new alternator in, the car will turn over, but will not run, im thinking something up with the coil pack,because she said she checked the fuses and they were all good but the cars not getting spark. anything else it could be?
