AF paintballers

so I'm thinking about getting back into the sport and maybe getting a decent higher end marker.

so I've been cruising pbreview for the past couple days looking around at all my options and I wanted you opinion on a couple that I've found.

I'll most likely be playing mainly with friends and not really in comp play, probably mostly speedball setups in both indoor and outdoor fields, with some woodsball scattered around.

so I was thinking I would get a mechanical marker and have always really like autocockers (played around with my friends a couple of times and just loved how they felt and looked. so I found this company that mods cocker's called ANS and they have a marker the GX-5 that I really like the looks, and is supposed to preform great, also while pbreview says it has a $500+ price tag, the site says closer to $300 and I've found a few on Ebay for $275. (and I just found it for $230)

so here's a pick of the marker
http://www.paintballadrenaline.com/v...iled/d_367.jpg

I really like the 90degree grip on it because it's always felt more comfortable to me when I shoot, and it just plain looks redic sick if you ask me in flat black like that.

But also I've been looking into the Electronic side of the game because thats what everyone who plays speedball always want to have, and I fond this gun the Syndicate Misfit that is supposed to be really good for the price (about $200)

so I want your opinions what would you recommend, or am I over my head with these two guns and should get something else?

I used to play with my friends tippmann 98 a lot and liked it because the thing was a work horse but then again it could always be better, and the A5 I've shot a bit but not enough to get a feel for it and I'm not a huge fan of the huge feed neck design.

so Paintballers of AF, help me.

also I'm pretty sure I could do this but would it be possible to swap a 90 grip on the misfit? because if I end up getting that gun I probably would consider it.
And the ANS is ready to be upgraded to Electronic if I deemed it later on down the line.

i had a freeflow autococker anodized gold, it was pretty nasty and 22 bps. loved it. intimidators, shockers, and impulses are also personal favorites

Yo, I am thinking about getting back into it as well... But I skydive also so who knows.

I had an autococker and liked it but they have more moving parts and hoses exposed which suck. I have had a hose pop off on me in the middle of a battle and yeah... that ended bad.

I then got a Smart Parts Nerve and LOVED IT!!!! I would go with the electro-pneumatic side if I were you. Shocker, Matrix, stuff like that.

MR3 http://www.canadianpaintball.com/mai...rs/kingman.htmFTW or the Tiberius 9 http://www.canadianpaintball.com/mai...s/tiberius.htmfor the ftmfw :Dboth with an eVLution 3 hopper.
I play mostly scenrio games so most of the ppl who play have replica guns that look real.

I'll have to look into the other guns that TTkid and josh told me

i3uddha - mad respect but I don't have the patience to be a pump player

teetertawter- I looked into the T-9 and thought about it if I could find a good deal on the cover or the elite because that gun is straight up amazing to look at and is supposed to be a great gun.
also I'll have to look into the MR3.

but if I were to get a sim gun it would def be the T-9, that thing is just tits

(BTW teetertawter, I always want to call you teeter twater, so if I do accidentally don't take it personally, it's just my dirty mind at work)

he laid down boxes of paint while a case lasted me multiple trips to the field LOL. less $$ FTW ! ! !

ill never forget. when i first started out.. i had a basic semi (spyder type)
they took 20 of us (all begineres / newbs etc) vs 5 pump players.
we got PNWED in the saddest sense. from then on i wanted to learn to play pump..

heres an action shot of me. LOL
all the way to the left of the shot..

ive got a CCI VSC Phantom, and love it majorly.

and to cab.
cab, do you shoot alot? do you like to shoot alot?
and either way, ive never heard of syndicate so i personally wouldnt get one of those. id get an electro cocker or a mech cocker.
or a pump cocker..

Go with the smart parts shocker. It is the best bang for the buck from all the guns I've used. It keeps up with the big dogs with a lot smaller price tag

RE: AF paintballers

well the ANS is a mech cocker that can later be upgraded with an e-blade and go electric so I mean I can start with a mech and then change if I want to later.

I am def a recreational player, just out there to have some fun and a good time, so I don't need the top of the line guns but I found a cocker for 250 and I know cocker's are good guns.

I was also thinking of possibly getting an ion as an option because well part of me is kinda scared to get a cocker because of their reputations for being difficult to get to shoot right because of the air valving system they use (so if I got a cocker the first thing I would be doing is hitting the books)

and yeah I can shot through a good amount of paint if I want to which is why I don't think I could stand pump play, it's to much sniper like for my style right now and how I play, which I like to call, randomized chaos with some tactical sliding and jumping thrown in for good measure (also why I mostly play with friends) when we just kinda wanna screw around.
