Drive around in second gear at 60-70mph...

I use my TIP, frequently, but sometimes I seem to forget to up-Tip, and end up driving around at speed in, like, 2nd gear. My other cars a stick, and I never seem to forget to upshift in THAT one. For some reason, with teh TIP, I often forget. Especially in stop-and-go, rush-hour traffic.

Am I retarded, or WHAT? Please tell me I'm not alone with this malady... Please tell me I'm not the only retarded driver on this forum... PLEASE!!!

 

You are driving around in stop and go traffic at 60-70 mph? I'd say don't worry about what gear you are in..you are making good time.

 

i guess its only you dude, since i never had a TIP and never done it and never seen any of my friends that have them do it, but next time remember to switch gears

 

I seem to also be too retarded to explain it properly, too!!!

In my commute I pass thru a couple of stop&go areas where entrance/exit ramps converge and other drivers are too gay to figure out how to merge w/o brake-checking EVERYBODY behind them... Once through the areas, of course, my tranny has defaukted to 2nd gear, and I drive off... Eventually I notice, of course, but sometimes not until I've gone SEVERAL miles down teh road.

What I NEED is an aftermarket option that has an arm that reaches out from the passenger headrest and smakks me in the head to remind me to up-Tip. NE1 kno wher i can find something like that?

 

hire a little monkey and train him to ride around in the backseat and everytime you dont up-tip, he should monkey slap you

im always in tip but sometimes if forget to move it over to tip and its still in drive, ill upshit but into N and like redline it....one time i broke a vacum line when i did that, i rev it up to red line going like 20 and droped it back into D. Now when i do it, i hear it and just let it go back down then put it into tip.

hey i do that all the time. usually on purpose tho. theres more torque up there, and the turbo seems more ready.
