I don't believe this is a repost. I know the R8 that burned down on the Ring was posted a while back but here is yet another R8 that's burned down.... What the hell's going on here Audi?

From what i just looked up, the one on the ring might be true. But it had a full rollcage, and the v10 in it. not the v8, so it wasnt an actual production car. It was prototype and just for testing.

 

I imagine a fire suit will be a standard option for future models.

 

I thought I remembered reading that somewhere, but thought that was a rumor. Hopefully this doesn't become another Audi epidemic similar to the 80's. Except this time they will be taking out the rich ****'s, LOL (well not really, but)

 

Meh, doesn't bother me. If I could afford to own a car like that, I could also afford to buy a full custom-tailored Stig costume, which includes a firesuit. In which case (naturally) I would always wear the Stig costume when driving any reallyfast car, including the R8.

Anyhow, that is a bummer to see another (?) one burned.
