Any Chance?
Ok, a friend of mine has a '98 Neon with a ton of aftermarket stuff on it. He has a stage 2 turbo, exhaust, etc. He also has a ton of audio equipment in it. He has carbon hood and trunk w/ carbon wheels. I haven't seen him in a long time and today I went by his house to hang out and just chit chat. He hadn't seen my A6 either. We were talking about HP and where he was at right now and he asked if I would be interested in going head to head with his Neon. He said he just had it on the dyno and it was at 270hp. Does anyone think I would have any kind of change at taking him? He thought that he would probably get me off the line but I would probably get him in the end. Any thoughts? I never race my car, so I'm not sure how she is? I think him having a turbo makes it a little tough. I know shes fast though.
I told him I'd go out next Friday just to have a little fun.

I looked up the weight on a Neon and it is only 2635lbs. A new A6 is over 4000. Having said that, I would think that you would catch and pass him at some point, but I don't know how far/fast/straight line/curvy you guys were planning on racing. I think you are right about him taking off quicker.
Yeah, he would for sure have me off the line. I made the point about the car being much smaller too. I really don't care who would win, I just thought it was funny that he wanted to race. All I know is... Audi > Dodge

no matter how much you do to it.. in the end its still a neon.. instead of comparing speed, compare class and see who the winner is
