I can't shut up about this. I want one. I'm not an big apple fan or user, I put together a hackintosh, and I never really liked the iPhone, well actually I don't like AT&T. I use a Palm Pre and I'm very happy with the WebOS interface.

But the iPad meets a need I've been wanting for awhile. I write a blog and read a lot of blogs. Something else lately I've been downloading a lot of ebooks. It gets tiring sitting at my desk staring at 2 24inch monitors so I have a laptop I work off of as well. But even that is annoying for just reading in bed or on the couch. And thus, a simple tablet to do just that. But it's better than a stupid slow ereader.

Exciting!

Not too sure about the on-screen keyboard tho. Not a fan of those.

 

Who makes the eReader that looks like a book? 2-sided...

 

Now that I've thought more about it, I think it's a crappy product.

 

I wouldn't say that it's crappy... I would say that it is going to satisfy a niche market.
That being said... regardless of who it'll satisfy, it will SELL to millions or rabid Apple fans who gotta collect 'em all!

 

I dunno, all the fanboy sites are giving mhem responses and panning it in reviews.

It seems the biggest blunder of the day is Apple tried to say this thing which will cost upwards of 899 dollars for the high end version is better than a netbook, and yet a netbook which is a very underpowered laptop at 399 can run multi-tasking circles around this thing.

The thing is just an over sized iphone. Hell best browsing experience my ***, it doesn't support flash for crying out loud. That's half the internet.

 

Glas hyou came around, Mike.. was gonna give the 'what for' for supporting this POS...

Yes I saw that, it stayed around 1% all day. What made me happy is I'm with Palm and it went up 11% today. Investors weren't impressed and they really expected Apple to branch away from AT&T, sticking with AT&T is a bad move. Most people where hoping for an announcement about the iphone going to Verizon. That would of shot up Apples stock. Instead it sent investors looking elsewhere.
