I've had some real heartaches w/ my car too...

Well, I just spent about 20min reading threw it.

The guy is a TOOL! He just drops the car off, & has them do the work, then
is pissed that they charge him. How about asking for a estimate, or if it is
covered under the warranty?

$150 for putting on a new rear emblem? You are a tool!

He wants the oil changed more often then the 12kmi, yes, you are going to pay
for that, it's NOT SCHEDULED maintaince!

I would never take a car to the dealer for body work, most of them farm it out
and make a profit off of you for doing so.

$900 to fix a scratch on a bumper? Are they going to put on a new one for that
price?

Bottom line, that dealer is really bad, they don't communicate, and the Dude
who keeps taking his car back there is a total TOOL! He deserves to get ripped off
he just keeps feeding the fire!

Yeah, I'd be curious to hear other evaluations of that dealer (too lazy to look them up, but I know of at least one website for dealership reviews.)

I can understand a lot of what he says though. This forum is filled with peoples comments on how sick their cars are. They are always in the shop and never get fixed correctly. My A6 is in a local (only one in my area) Audi dealership and if I didn't have an extended warranty, I would be screwed. Almost 2 grand for a thermostat when a local shop quoted me for $540. There is something seriously wrong with that. The service department has the most ghetto waiting room I have ever been in yet they charge you 6 times as much as they should for work on your car. They have absolutely no respect or courtesy for their customers and it's that way at any dealership. We drive luxury vehicles and we should be treated like we do. I have to say that when I decide to switch vehicles, I probably won't go with another Audi. Same exact problems I had with my VW and it's just not worth the money to fix them if I had no warranty. There are much better vehicles out there for far less money that out perform Audi. I love my car and I think it looks pretty sweet and performs very well but only when it's not sick which is very rare. I can see where the guy is coming from. It's hard to bend over so much until you finally can't take it any more.

What a turd. No S*** there are problem but they are common sense problems. and why the hell take it to a dealership(one thing agree with this guy on the dealerships are dirty @$$ mooks). And B.S. on claiming american and japenese cars are better. american cars are in the shop way more than any car i have ever owned, parts and labor are still expenseive. japense cars also have problems but those are small stuff since their not really meant for performance, and the ones that are have small flaws too. Worst piece of literature ive ever read. i want the 20 minutes of my life back spent reading this.
