I just picked up one bottle of Dogfishhead 120 minute IPA its a rare brew and is 12% ABV or so depending on how long it has aged. I have heard of some bottles that are supposed to be 19%. It was an impulse buy in a "what the hell" moment at $12.99. I hope its worth it! I just have to tell myself that 12% in a 12oz. bottle is equal to 3 bottles at 4% therefore I am paying $4.33 per bottle....

I very often do the cost to ABV per 12 ounce equivalent math.

I like beer, hell I might even love beer, all kinda of beer too. For wrenching/working around the house, it depends on the season and what I feel like drinking, but usuaully it will be a IPA, Pale ale, Hefe, wheat, or something on the lighter side of the spectrum. No need for a Belgian quad while slaving under the hood.

Currently I'll grab a Deschutes Chainbreaker if I can get my hands on some or something else. I work in the beverage industry so I am always down to try new beers when I see them.

Never heard of the Deschutes chainbreaker. Sounds good. I have recently gone back to an old fav. Belhaven scottish ale. Its light brown in color like Newcastle brown but more complex. Still a lighter side of European Ales.

I also like Speckled Hen. In the same vein as Belhaven but British.
