Thats a typical ebay scam. So stupid.

They fall for it and not just private sellers. Dealers have also been scammed. The cashiers check even looks real to our banks until 3 weeks later they find out that the issuing bank doesnt exist! This is real and there are people who get scammed every day... so we must educate the masses.

Just wanting to help out.. I know of two cases personally where the seller got scammed.

i don't understand how a bank can clear a check, and then weeks later tell you it's no good....that's bullsh!t, but i've heard of it happening before.

 

It happens and you have no recourse... you lose out and the banks doesnt back you! Seriously!
