i used plasti-dip. it more like spray rubber than paint, but it doesn't chip at all. when people paint they might get rock chips on the highway, but with this stuff you dont have to worry about that. and its practically idiot proof and hard to mess it up. it doesn't match the paint but i like it.

i did mine a couple years ago when it was the hot thing to do on the forum...lol, that sounds so gay but it's so true

i rattle canned the bitch with like 100 coats of paint and another 100 of clear coat, and after a few months i still had rock chips...i'd try the rubber stuff chaos mentioned

ya and another good thing about it is if you ever want to go back to chrome you can literally peel it off. heres some pics of what it looks like:

just re-did my grille because of the paint chips, I think it looks good depending on the color of the car.

the trim and rings get blacked out not the actual grill

I have a blacked out grill right now on a black a4... I'm thinking about taking the paint off the rings and painting them white... thoughts?
