boost gauge
this may sound stupid, but this is my first turboed car, so are boost gauges universal? i was asking because i really dont wanna drop close to 200 bucks shipped to my house for a boost gauge that i could prolly get off a local streetracing board for half the price..
what boost gauges is everyone using? |
RE: boost gauge

RE: boost gauge
if i were to buy that gauge, how would i mount it on my A pillar. And how hard is it because if its hard at all i'd prob have to take it to a shop.
also do you guys think that 1 gauge on the A pillar would look gay, me and my buddy were arguing about that today in class. Also, i want to make sure i dont have airbags there. Does anyone know off hand if the 1999 A4 1.8TQ, has an airbag there. If not any suggestions on where to check. Owners Manuel? |
RE: boost gauge
ok...go for 1 on the pillar..coz more =ricey....IMO....no..there are no airbags on the pillars....as far as i know....i like the gauge too..its sexy lol...

RE: boost gauge
My 99.5 does'nt have air bags on the a-pillar.
Yes...it is ok to put just one gauge on the a-pillar. I've seen "ricers" having up to 3 gauges on the a-pillar just for looks sometimes they don't even work or it is just a clock. A boost gauge is for watching the functions on your turbo to make sure there in check (damn spence should copy right that) Plus I think teh a-pillar looks nice and clean check out Tom's a4 that looks real nice. |
RE: boost gauge
i dont care for autotechnic products
i bought a instrument cluster overlay for my 97 acura cl and the damn things woulnt illuminate half the time[:@] but it does look sweet |
