Guys,

I'm looking into getting an used Boxster S or SLK55. It's going to be a daily fun ride. I live in sunny So. Cal. Convertible is a must. :P

In your opinion, which one would you prefer? And why?

The reason I post this thread in Audi forum instead of MB/Porsche forums to avoid biased opinion. Serious reply please. Thanks. [8D]

slk55 hands down....MUCH nicer, WAY more class, WAY more pimpin...[sm=pimp.gif]

boxster is to porsche what the festiva is to ford...i understand it's the 's', but it's still just a boxster....plus i don't really find the boxster visually appealing at all, whereas the slk55 is a beautiful ride.

 

get an old style SL500 or if u can find liek a 97 SL600, thats a drop top, id take a 97 sl over a 2005 slk, tahts just me tho

Go with teh SLK 55 AMG or wait and get the new Cayman S (but u sai du wanted used)

 

yeah dont go for the Porsche.. it says midlife crisis all over it. everyone drives one. especially in So Cal.. go for the MB

 

for the record there are a ton of both in so cal. If u want a porsche u need to get a GT2, GT3, 911 turbo or Carrera GT. Carreas and boxster are way to common. Maybe a cayenne but thats a SUV and i have started to see more of them. Get that in the turbo cause u need a SUV that will do 0-60 in aroud 5 sec.
