Go Kimi, he's my guy. I wanted him to win but it seemed so unlikely.

YAY FERRARI.

Hate to be so American about it, especially on a car forum, but....so what.
Well, looking at it from simply a "sportsman" perspective, he has TOPPED his sport, for this sports year. Over a long, grueling season in which he's had more than his share of setbacks, HE, alone, stands at the top of the hill, for 2007!

Unlike teh "World-Series," which ONLY included teams from America, ditto teh American footbal "world" championship, the Super-Bowl... F1 invites ALL worthy enough to be offered a ride, a chance to compete. Although unlikely, even ROOKIE sensations such as Hamilton DO have a chance to excell, team orders and philosophy notwithstanding.

Kimi's a WORLD CHAMPION. He's a BIG FISH in a VERY BIG POND.YOU!?!? Mad props to the Man, I say.

lol@world series. The only thing that's good about the Sox hanging on for so long is that WAAF is playing the Dropkick Murphy's like crazy.

well, I've lived in MORE than just one country, in my life, so I have a tendency t look at things form a not just American perspective. Part of teh reason American are viewed by many as ego-centric @$$h0le$ is because we ARE ego-centric @$$h0le$. We may be teh onlybig-boy left on teh block, but we AIN'T the ONLY kid on teh block.

99.997% of Americans make the rest of us look bad.

About time he got it...I've been wanting Kimi totake the WorldChampionship crownsince he got on board with the McLaren team. The move to Ferrari was the right choice for him

Kimi is like the BA of F1(if memory serves me correctly), he doesn't exactly meet the mold for your average F1 driver and I think that why I like him so much. I've always rooted for him, and I'm glad he finally won it.

My point was that I simply didn't even know who he was. And I was embarrased that I didn't know such a clearly obvious fact, espcially on a car forum
oh... sorry... missed that... DAMN eEmotions...[:'(]

i really wanted to see lewis hang on, but i guess kimi deserves it. he really should have won the title in 03 and 05 as well, but was driving an unreliable mclaren. at the beginning of the season, he was certainly the runaway favorite to win the title, but it turned out to be a much tighter battle than everyone thought.

currently, mclaren is challenging his championship b/c two cars that finished in front of lewis were found to be using illegal fuel. if the bmw and williams were to be disqualified, lewis would be the champion.

with all the political bs in f1 this season, i hope everything stays as is and we don't have to hear about more courtroom drama.

now, on to 08, and predictions? how will lewis fare? where is fernando headed? can bmw take the next step?

i think 08 will be another great season, i just wish they were coming back to indy. i think lewis, kimi and fernando will challenge for the title once again, but with fernando back at renault. i would love to see rosberg or webber partner lewis at mclaren. i also think kubica and heidfeld will challenge for wins next year. i can't wait.
