Default Can somebody answer my question please?

Hi fellow members, I need help. Im finally gona get my 01 s4 next week. He said the timing belt was done at 30k miles. The car has 86k. When will it need to be changed or every when does it need to be change? Thanks.

Welcome.

The timing belt generally gets done every 80K miles. What was his reason changing the timing belt that early?

Ask to see the work/repair order it was done under, ESPECIALLY if it was done THAT early.

Forgive my stupidity but is a timing belt, different to a cam belt?

3ok miles is too early to change it i think, you should have asked about why the change have to be made that early to the person who asked you to change. since you have spent your money and bought your car you have all the rights to ask.

Yeah the s4 had a recall for it. So the Audie warranty covers it. <<this is what he said. I told him to get the paper work for his maintainnce
