Download firefox (www.mozilla.com) and install the ad-block application. Works like a bloody charm!

 

+1, minus .gif's not working for me Firefox is amazing.

Go to Tools> Add Ons> Extensions> Get Extensions and download Faster Fox. Works great by recycling your bandwidth.

Keep in mind that you can also change the look of Firefox with the Add Ons menu. To do that, visit Themes.

It feels so good to turn another soul onto firefox. :P Haha, I can see why people buy hats and tee's from Mozilla... Seriously, IE is sooo terrible.

EDIT: tabbed browsing is enough of a reason to use firefox... I have it set up so a middle click on a link opens up a new background tab. It works great for things like the forums, because I can just scroll down, middle clicking on threads that interest me, then when I'm done, I just start at the rightmost tab, and work my way across. Works great for ebay, too...

 

dang i dont see any advertisements anymore. because i can just right click the ones that get by firefox and they will disappear for ever
