Cooler Weather, Better Car?
I've seen a few people in the A4 section talk about how much better their car performs during the winter (besides that Quattro makes snow fun). Is there a mechanical reason for this other than the obvious fact the A/C isn't on all the time? Is it true? I'd like that.
I've always thought cars tend to behave more bastardly in the winter (not from personal experience, but in movies, the car trouble always happens during a snow storm...the image stuck). But I've never noticed a difference in performance and I've driven in several winters now.

Oh man, you Audi guys are a tough crowd!
Cooler air is denser, makes more power, its why we have intercoolers, to take the heat out that happens when you compress air.
Same reason old school hot rodders ice their intake manifolds at the drag strip, or run cool cans for the fuel lines.
