Default Detailing Today!

Well, I'm going to spend my day detailing the car. I am going to clay bar as well! I have never done it before, so it should be an interesting experience. I'm going to wash, clay, wax and polish. Then I'm going to get going on the interior. I'll get some pics up later on today when I'm done. I've heard the clay bar works wonders...

Have fun and post pics of the finished product!

BTW I always clean the inside of my car before washing it. Anyone else?

yes i agree. clean the interior first. the dust that picks up from the interior becomes present on the exterior, esp from vaccuuming.

is there a certain time that is good to consider claying yur car for the first time? just considering normal dust & pollen & pollution.
after 1 year? 2 Years? any opinion. i know from what i've read that its an all day project. dont wanna do it if i'm not gonna see results of my effort.

Wow! I just got done with the whole process and it took just less than 3 hours. The car looks absolutely amazing. If no one has ever used a clay bar, I highly suggest it. How have I never done this before? It's crazy how you can tell the difference with the touch of the surface before and after. It's like a whole new paint job. I'll get some pics up tomorrow after I get out and find a good spot to take them.
