Unfortunately I had to take away about $500 from my future Audi Mod Funds to do work on the other car -nissan maxima.

This weekend Ill be putting on new shocks/struts, strut mounts/bearings, and 02 sensors, and vehicle speed sensor.
Ive put it off as long as possible, the car officialy handles like the Titantic, and performs like a dog.

Anyway, this sucks because this has taken away from my next mod for the Audi which was going to be H&R/Bilstein sport combo or Miltek exhaust:(

So if there are any other 4th gen. Maxima owners around here and are interested in a DIY with pictures of the suspension job, let me know and I'll document it.

Yeah its a great car, extremely dependable, awesome bose stereo and great power with the VQ30E motor... I was going to get aftermarket springs for it, but the struts I got dont take kindly to any type of drop (too many horror stories of GR-2's with anything other than stock springs), plus 4 struts for it only cost me $220 (OEM replacement KYB GR-2's) I'll probably only have it for another year or 2 anyway. Trying to save my money for the Audi wherever I can.

Well we are going on a road trip to colorado in a couple weeks and the roads on the way there are no fun with blown shocks, plus im worried about how it reacts to sudden brakes/swerves in sticky situations.. Im doing it mainly for safety reasons...

Speaking of Maxima's, check this out : http://www.motorvate.ca/video/video_...ma_burnout.wmv

I knew you were going to say that;
Id rather put the miles on the Nissan, plus its more comfortable/bigger seats/better stereo/more leg room- and id probably get 20 speeding tickets in the Audi.

I've been lucky with Colorado police...that's all I am comfortable to say. I must be tempting fate terribly.

How far is Boulder from Crested Butte?

Im coming from Ohio, so I have more than just the Colorado police to look out for.

ARe you taking more then yourself and one other person? I find my a4 is quite comfortable to drive, granted Ive only driven it for 1.5-1.75 hours at most. But comfortable nonethe less. Im with you on the stereo though mine is alright but sad for a luxary car. Had I known about the total propritary wiring for the stereo before hand I may have decided differently.
