Does anyone know the dimensions of a B5 A4 engine bay off hand?

Yes, yes I was. I was thinking an LS6 transplant would be a nice start but I still have to check Ford Racing for their crate engines.

Fine. I'll start with a Ford 351 block. Siamese bore if I can get it.

edit: I could even start with a siamese bore 426 Hemi block.

You can stroke a small block to big block C.I.! Edelbrock stroked a 350 to a 454 small block You get the high rpm of the small block and the power of a big block! SICKNESS

i really doubt an ls6 would fit in there. the 2.8 is pretty snug in there. maybe a 3.9 or 4.6 ford v8's?

^ You could make room, but it would be snug. Maybe even fiberglass the front end, so you could work on the engine.

I found my block. A Ford 351 Windsor aluminum dry sump racing block. It's only 92 lbs.!! Carbon fiber the front end. Fiberglass is too weak.

^ Check out Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads for it they aslo make intakes if your going fuel injected! Those are what I'm gonna put on my stroked 460
