Does your job block certain websites?

does your job block certain websites like Photobucket.com, myspace, youtube, etc... well I'm sure a few of you know about this option but I just found it so I figured I would enlighten other lost souls

If you want to bypass any blocked website at work/school check out http://2hide.net/ - open this website plug in your blocked website. this is going to be great for me because when any of you post pics I can't see them till I get home.
My wife works for a "governemnt" job - this site would not work for her. it was blocked under "proxy avoidance" I'll post again if I find one that works.

I can see some things and not others. One day it actually let me search porn on Google. It only showed the thumbnails and wouldn't let me into the sites, but it was fun while it lasted, only for a day.

That site'll only work for folks behind firewalls at small-to-mid-sized companies. Most of teh larger, and, as your wife found out, Government IT folks know about sites like that and how to block them.

And, for you porn surfers, it does NOT prevent the IT guys at work from seeing which sites you visit, while you're SUPPOSED to be working. Use such sites at your own risk. If you get caught don't further complicate matters by swearing up and down that you dint do it. They already KNOW you did!

The plant that I work for produced over $30 billion in product last year - so were not that small - we outsource all our IT to IBM who have people onsite to run everything. They have blocked several of the other sites of this type but they hadn't found this one yet I guess. Just trying to make work fun again.:D Stay away from porn at work - wouldn't want to go to your next interview and be asked "why were you fired" well ya see there was this.........

I have the same problem at school. The dam librarians keep blocking these bypassing websites, but then again, in high school, theres always those smart kids who figure out ways around it:D

I work in IT and strongly suggest not using a site such as this to bypass your corporate firewall. We have fired many employees and interns for using sites such as this one (Korea based) which allow you to tunnel through the firewall. You think you're undetected but you actually send an alarm to someone such as myself who will then in turn, be tasked to monitor your MAC address and internet traffic which ultimately becomes the end of your employement.

I know it sucks and even IT, those sites are blocked but I just use a sandbox computer (DSL line not on the network). I hate my jobbut it does pay for all my wonderful toys!

The company I work for (EDS) is the kind of company that companies like yours outsource that sort of thing to, just so ya know. Now, I don't DO that, for my company, but I hang out with guys that do. Heed nvusltoo's comments... Wait til you get home. None of the vids posted here are worth losing your job over, are they? What you do on YOUR computer on YOUR time is YOUR business. Those IBM guys MAY be letting you have just enough rope to hang yourself with...
