Default Ebay Lip Spoiler?

I would have posted this in the DIY section but there is no button to do a new post? Something is wrong with the section?

Anyway, can anyone who has installed the Ebay lip spoilers discuss the install? I think Jest recently installed one?? Will the 3m adhesive keep for a long time with car washes and what not? Just want to find out before I buy one and stick it on my car. Thanks!

I think those posts get transfered there, after the aticles have been written.. its not a questions forum...
I would like to know as well though, bec. I saw the article on the DIY, and I PMd the admin that posted it,
but never got a response... How strong is the tape, for security purposes. Id hate to have someone yank it off

i put mine on a couple months ago....just clean your car (reg soap & water)....claybar the area where the tape will adhere...heat the trunk surface with a heat gun (don't heat the tape, it doesn't take direct heat well at all)...stick that bitch on there and you're done...you want something like a 3/16" gap between the trunk edge and each end of the spoiler...you might want to remeasure that though..it's pretty easy

I wanna make sure that it doesnt fly off... [:'(]

seriously - is it something that can be yanked off w/ ease?

That's an easy test... Swing by Bent's joint one night as see if you can "obtain" a free upgrade for your car

No I had to reposition mine and it took almost all my strength to pull the sucker off. After it sits on the car for a few days it will bond stronger too.
