im just speechless at this one. its a forum for people who encourage morbid obesity. some of them have goals to be immobile one day. others try to justify their laziness. quote from one guy:

The heavierone is, the more exercise one gets simply by walking, so if one is heavy enough, then just walking once around the block would be like an average size person running a 10 Mile marathon, only it would take less time, so one will have more time to do other things like eat and watch TV. smiley

So, after walking around the block, you're huffing and puffing, and sweating real good, and your heart has had a good work out, then you need to take a shower, relax and drink plenty of fluid, preferably natural fruit juices.

The reason why people who are bedfast have fluid accumulating in their lower body and legs is because they don't exercise at all. If they would just flex their arms and legs that would be perfect exercise for those who are immobile.

If you're heavy enough, then lifting your legs and bending your knees, and lifting your arms and flexing your elbows will be the equivalent of pumping iron in a gymnasium, the difference being that you're pumping soft warm flesh instead of pumping cold hard iron, but it would still be like training with weights, your own weight that is. smiley

Also it's more fun than pumping iron because the sensation of soft warm human flesh and fat as jiggles and quivers all over feels really neat! We fat people have our own build in set of lifting weights. We don't have to buy expensive weights to exercise. smiley

And, if you have someone loves taking care of you, and giving you massages, and tickling you to make you laugh that also helps to stimulate the circulation. smiley

Now, if one plans to achieve immobility, it may be a good idea to have overhead rails installed in the ceilings of your home with a body harness, like an overhead trolley, to lift you up out of your bed and support your massive weight so you can stand on your feet and make your way to the shower, and you will also be able to stand before a full length mirror to admire your enormous, magnificent, monumental, and Majestic body! smiley

It can also lower you into a wheel chair so you can go out of your house and proudly display yourself in public for all to look upon with awe and wonder! smiley

Yes, this does sound expensive, but once immobile, one can apply for disability and have most of the expenses covered.

Now that sound like a really cool way to live! smiley

at first i thought it was funny, but its actually kinda sad

I hope they're spread out, cause, if they're all in the same place they'll throw off earth's center of gravity, unbalance our orbit and wobble us out of the solar system[:@]

Wow, just... wow. I can't believe someone would actually aim to be immobile. One of my greatest fears has always been losing my independence. It seems freaky that some people actually aim to do so.

I may sound like an SOB, but personally, they can rot for all I care which is what is going to happen to them anyway.

I believe we should try to help but to only works if they want to and work at it. If they do not, the deal is off. I have worked with doctors before and 90% of the weight issues are psychological. So they should get shrinks and a personal trainer and get off their asses.

With a comment like this:
Yes, this does sound expensive, but once immobile, one can apply for disability and have most of the expenses covered.
The only disability these people should get is a bullet and a gun. It should not be too expensive since you can repossess the gun afterwards.

I feel sad for their families but not them. We all have problems, we all have to deal with them, and no matter what people tell you, it is a choice. They chose their drug of choice, I would not lend them a hand - they would probably carry me with them because of the weight or try to chew it off for nutrients.

Sorry - this is one of the things I cannot stand and a comment like this makes me sick. I am all for helping but you have to help yourself first in order for it to work.

Signed
Insensitive SOB
